Pathnote is a mobile CRM and communication platform designed to help real estate agents keep clients informed throughout key stages of the home-buying journey.
The application enables agents to create and manage personalized, branded communication graphics and deliver a more consistent client experience without relying on fragmented manual workflows.
Challenge: The product needed to provide a consistent mobile experience for real estate professionals using both iOS and Android without maintaining two completely separate applications.
Solution: Developed the mobile application from scratch using React Native and Expo, creating a shared cross-platform codebase while maintaining responsive and platform-appropriate user experiences.
Challenge: Account verification and application notifications needed a reliable communication layer that could support important user actions.
Solution: Integrated AWS SES for transactional email delivery, including verification processes and notification emails connected to application workflows.
Challenge: What appears to users as a simple communication flow requires structured forms, validation, multiple steps, and management of different domain-specific entities behind the scenes.
Solution: Developed complex multi-step forms with full client-server validation, enabling users to create and manage application entities while maintaining data consistency throughout the workflow.
Challenge: CRM applications handle user-specific workflows and communication data, making secure account access and session management essential.
Solution: Built authentication and protected backend routes using AWS Cognito and implemented dynamic routing and authentication flows within the mobile application to securely manage user sessions and access.
The application is designed around communication moments that occur throughout the home-buying process rather than functioning as a generic messaging application
